With Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X pre-orders set to ship, some of you may find yourselves holding off until the reviews hit the web, or perhaps you get a more objective look at what these devices are capable of. We know Google put a lot of work into the camera performance on both devices, outfitting them both with the same rear 12.3MP Sony IMX377 camera sensor — which features large 1.55um pixels for better low light shooting — as well as an f/2.0 lens and IR laser-assisted autofocus. The front facing cameras are where things differ, with the Nexus 6P featuring an 8MP f/2.4, while the 5X has a 5MP f/2.0 shooter.
On paper, all that sounds good n’ dandy, but it doesn’t amount to jack squat if you can’t see the performance for yourself in the real world. With the Nexus 6P and 5X now official in India, various news outlets have been busy uploading video samples for us to examine. Given this was a press event, the lighting conditions are a bit out of the ordinary, but we found an outdoor shot which should be more common in your day-to-day shooting. Check out the videos down below and let us know what you think.
