Samsung Galaxy S7 could come in 3 variants, each with a different processor

We only just barely left the honeymoon stage with our Samsung Galaxy S6 and already rumors of a Samsung Galaxy S7 are looming. Couldn’t have come at a better time. With the performance on our Galaxy S6 taking a major nose dive and not many other device striking our fancy, next year’s flagships can’t come soon enough.

Now, there still aren’t many details surrounding the upcoming Galaxy S7 quite yet, but new rumors could peg the specific processor we’ll see depending on where you live. That’s right, it looks like Samsung could be equipping the device with different processors depending on region. That’s what the fine folks over at SamMobile are hearing anyway. According to them, we could be looking at 3 different Galaxy S7 variants when it launches early next year. Here they are:

Samsung Galaxy S7 (by region)

That pretty much falls in line with what we heard for the Chinese/US variant last week. As Quentyn mentioned in that post, we don’t expect too much a difference in actual performance of these devices, no matter which SoC you end up with. Let’s hope Samsung has learned a thing or 2 with the Galaxy S6 and continues to fine tune their software in time for the Galaxy S7. If not, it doesn’t matter if you put a HEMI in that thing, it’ll still end up chugging after a few weeks.
