Google started pushing Android 6.0 Marshmallow out to the masses yesterday. Many of you used factory images to get loaded up on the latest version of Android, but OTA updates are also beginning to go out for those who prefer traditional rollouts.
Those OTA updates (some of them, anyway) can now be downloaded and flashed without having to wait. We only have links for Nexus 9 and Nexus 7 tablets to start, but more should be finding their way onto the list over time and we’ll be sure to update this list when they do.
Nexus 6
There are several links for getting to the October security patch depending on your device.
- International Nexus 6 users can flash this file to go from LMY48M to LMY48T

From there, you’ll be greenlit to go to MRA58K Marshmallow, but we don’t yet have an OTA file for that. We’ll be sure to update this post with one as soon as we do!

How to install
Flashing these things should be quite easy if you know your way around ADB. If you don’t, the instructions we provided you for Android 5.1 Lollipop still fully apply, so be sure to check that out if you’re a bit lost. Note that you don’t need a full installation of the Android SDK to get access to ADB and fastboot. This AndroidForums.com thread should get you squared away on a quick and easy solution for that.
