Newly uncovered Huawei Nexus benchmark shows 5.7-inch QHD display, 8MP front facing camera, and lots more

Yesterday, a benchmark allegedly taken from the Huawei Nexus “Angler” may have clued us into a few of the device’s upcoming hardware specs. It didn’t reveal much, just a Snapdragon 810 processor and 3GB of RAM. We know. Nothing is set in stone until it’s officially made official, but it’s nice to have a little extra confirmation from other sources.

A newly uncovered benchmark from the folks at GFXBench could now provide just that, with the upcoming Huawei Nexus seemingly making a pit stop to test out it’s hardware/software. Here are some of the device’s reported specs:

Huawei Nexus “Angler” specs

Those hoping for something a little higher-end than the LG Nexus should feel at ease, although it’s arguably not much of an upgrade from the existing Nexus 6. Of course, raw numbers like these don’t tell us anything about camera performance, battery life, real-world speed, so we’ll need to play around with the device to really be sure. What do you guys think? Disappointed? Or are timely software updates directly from Google a well enough trade for ho-hum specs?

Our biggest question: What is Google going to call it? Nexus 6X? Nexus 5.7X?
