HTC is working on an Android Wear smartwatch, codenamed ‘halfbeak’

Hyporhamphus_unifasciatusWhen Android Wear was announced a year and a half ago, HTC was listed as an Android Wear partner. We haven’t seen an Android Wear powered wearable from the Taiwanese company thus far, but that doesn’t mean their continued downward spiral is going to stop them from pursuing their partnership.

According to new information available to us, we now know that HTC is working on an upcoming Android Wear smartwatch. Their wearable is codenamed halfbeak (which just so happens to be a type of fish like other Android Wear watches), will come equipped with a round display, and sports a 360 x 360 resolution. While this information is a bit on the light side, our sources are sound, and have provided us with accurate information in the past.

According to a recently leaked flyer, HTC has an upcoming event on September 29th where we’ll see a double flagship. Does that mean a new smartphone and a smartwatch? We’ll have to wait and see.
