Adblock Browser hero

Adblock Browser for Android now available on Google Play (but it might not be for long)

Let’s face it, no matter which browser you’re running on your desktop, you’ve probably got some form of ad-blocking software installed. We get it. Ads aren’t fun. In fact, sometimes they can pretty damn annoying. For some folks, this is actually one of the main reasons why they root their Android devices in the first place. Now, we wouldn’t recommend blocking ads on this fine site here (we all have bills to pay), but there are times when ads across the net can be more trouble than they’re worth.

Today Eyeo, creators of the world famous Adblock Plus for desktop web browsers, have officially brought their ad-blocking expertise on over to Android and iOS — no root or jailbreak required. Now, the Adblock Browser isn’t the fastest, or most optimized web browser we’ve ever used. Far from it (at least it didn’t run so well on our Nexus 6). But we still think it’s a great start and could be a great alternative depending on your web browsing habits. You can support the sites you do visit often by selecting the 3-dot menu > Block ads on this site > uncheck. Cheers.
