Motorola is now pushing the Android Wear 1.3 update out to their Moto 360 smart watch. This update brought a big new feature that’ll change the way watch faces on the platform work forever.
These new “interactive” watch faces allow you to tap on individual buttons to reveal more information, launch apps or toggle states (such as cycling between different watch face styles). You can find a full list of 21 early watch faces which implement the feature right here.
The update also brought a Wear Together watch face that allows you to send doodles, emotes, pictures and other quick things to your family and friends. Other additions include a new weather app, Google Translate for Android Wear, a feature which only shows notification information if the watch is angled in a way that only you could see it, and a number of bug fixes and performance improvements.
Motorola says the update is going out in phases over the next few days, so if you can’t get it now then throw your patient cap on and wait. The watch has to be charged to at least 80% for it to take it down, so make sure you’re juiced up. You’re looking for version LCA44B. Be sure to let us know how it’s treating you once you have it loaded up!
