The Android Marshmallow Dev Preview 3 has gone out to handsets running the early version of the latest update, and all sorts of goodies are being pulled from it. One such thing is the Google Now launcher.
You can download the APK for the updated launcher right here, but we have to warn you it won’t grant you many new features. For some reason, the vertical scrolling option only works if you’re installing the launcher on an Android 6.0 Marshmallow phone. You also won’t get Google Now on Tap, but that should be obvious as the service is not yet ready for public consumption.
So for now, it’s just a minor upgrade which probably won’t net you any benefits over your current installation, but just in case there’s a chance Google could hot-patch some new features in down the line you’ll want to grab it. Be sure to install it by authorizing third-party APK installations in your Security Settings.
