Download: Android 6.0 Marshmallow boot animation
Yesterday, we learned what Android 6.0 Marshmallow’s boot animation would look like. Spoilers: it’s freaking amazing. And you can get it on your phone right now if you don’t mind doing a tad bit of work.
A gracious XDA member has put together a simple .APK file to install for those who are on CyanogenMod or any AOSP custom ROM that supports Cyanogen’s Theme Engine. Download it, install it, enable it and you’ll have the boot animation the next time you reboot your phone. Simple as pie.
For those who don’t fit that mold, you can go the flashing route. Just load this file onto your phone and flash it in a custom recovery, and it should get you on the new boot animation without fail. This is a bit more risky than the APK method, so be sure you’re careful, and know that you’re responsible for anything you do to your phone. Enjoy!
