Hangouts web interface

Last week, Hangouts 4.0 for Android devices finally launched and while it was a pretty big update, it seems Google still had more plans for their messaging service. Launching today is a brand new Hangouts dedicated web interface, giving users yet another option to connect with friends and family when only Hangouts will do. Previously, if you wanted to use Hangouts on the web your options were limited to either download/installing the Chrome extension/app, or logging into Gmail or Google+.

The new web interface makes it easy to quickly launch a video video call, phone call, or instant message with little fuss. The slide out menu has many of the same options as Hangouts on Android and makes it easy to find archived conversations, access contacts, or sign out. Check it out for yourself at hangouts.google.com.
