The picture of LG’s 2015 Nexus 5 is slowly being painted, but the man who seems to know most about the thing has given us an idea of what to expect. Steve Hemmerstoffer’s leaks continue with a render that was put together in partnership with uSwitch.
The two used the exact dimensions leaked, his recollection of non-publicized prototypes and some schematics sent to accessory makers to form the photos you’re seeing now. The result is a phone render that looks realistic, but very generic. And almost prototypical. There’s no telling if this is what the actual Nexus 5 2015 will end up looking like, though we wouldn’t be totally disappointed if it is.
That said, it doesn’t quite look like the metal-infused frame we were told the device would have, though it’s possible that could just be the work of some clever paint or other cover material (or an oversight by the folks who created the render).
The device shown does appear to tick all the check boxes, including front-facing speakers and the inclusion of a fingerprint scanner on the rear. The USB port also looks like USB Type-C.
Other than that, it looks like a phone, and one which we hope will be quite savory once it makes its way to market. What are you feeling about this one?
