Samsung Galaxy Note 5 gets the hands-on treatment, 3,000mAh battery sadly reported

We’re still about a week away before Samsung makes the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 official, but it seems someone is ready to show off the phone a little ahead of schedule. After officially unofficial press renders hit the internet last week, new photos are now giving us a hands-on look of the Galaxy Note 5 in the wild.

Really, there aren’t too many surprises here. It’s the same Galaxy Note 5 we’ve seen countless times in renders, but we have to admit it does look a little more impressive in real-life photos. A few hardware details reportedly confirmed are a lack of removable battery (no surprise there), and no micro SD card slot (that one stings). Adding insult to injury, Samsung’s tradition of ever shrinking battery sizes continues, with the Note 5 said to carry only a 3,000mAh battery (Galaxy Note 4 was 3,220mAh). Disappointing to say the least. Other specs rumored:

Samsung is once again showing the world they value form over function and that a slimmer profile will is somehow more valuable than battery life. But hey, it’s got a stylus! Of course, nothing is really confirmed until Samsung makes everything official, we just didn’t want to get anyone’s hopes up. What do you think about the Galaxy Note 5 so far?
