It looks like Samsung is going to continue their tradition of offering a mini version of their annual flagship. PhoneArena has leaked new photos of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini.
While the shots themselves don’t show us much, it at least confirms Samsung will be using the same design language featured in the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, as well as the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus.
Unfortunately we weren’t given a clear confirmation on some of the specs that have been flying around for the thing. The most recent rumors suggest it’ll have a display size of around 4.7 inches, 2GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 808 chipset and a 15 megapixel camera.
These specs can’t quite compare to the flagship it’s named after, but for what it’s worth it’s a lot better of a “mini” variant than prior entries have been. Samsung tends to skimp on specs so as to make it more affordable at retail, but this doesn’t sound like it’d be a bad phone to own if you prefer something a bit smaller and cheaper.
Word that the phone will arrive in August seems to be pure speculation at this point so we’re not yet sure if we’ll be seeing the S6 Mini announced alongside the S6 Edge Plus and Note 5, but at least we know it’s coming so you can start weighing your options.
