OxygenOS 2.0 hands-on | StyleSwap covers photos | OnePlus 2 size comparison
The OnePlus 2 is officially official, and we were able to get our grubby paws all over it. OnePlus has improved upon last year’s surprising hit with powerful specs, beautiful design, and some neat features. Of course, since this is a OnePlus device it comes with a lot of lofty promises and hype. Check out the hands-on video below to see the device in action.
Let’s talk specs. The OnePlus 2 has a 5.5-inch 1080p display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 13MP camera, 64GB of onboard storage, 4GB of RAM, and 3300 mAh battery. It will cost you $389 if you can snag an invite (yes, they are still doing that). You can get a slightly cheaper model with only 16GB of storage and 3GB of RAM for $329.
OnePlus has also added some nifty features to go along with the specs. It has an “Alert Slider” built-in to the side of the device that gives you physical controls for Lollipop’s new notification modes. The OnePlus 2 also has future-proof features such as a fingerprint sensor and USB Type-C charging cable.
OnePlus’ popular sandstone material makes a return on the OnePlus 2, but this time you can swap it out for something else. Taking a page from Motorola’s book they are offering three shades of wood and a kevlar replaceable back cover. For $27 you can give your device a completely new look. The OnePlus 2 will be available via invite on August 11th. Feast your eyes on these gorgeous photos.
