As part of Google Play’s Summer Sale (which ends on Monday, by the way), you may have noticed Telltale’s Game of Thrones was one of a handful of games severely discounted. Now available for only $.60 cents, today the 5th installment of the Game of Thrones saga on Android has officially become available, dubbed “A Nest of Vipers.”
Like the previous episodes before it, Episode 5 is only available via an in-app purchase of $5. Of course, if you just download Game of Thrones and plan on playing it all the way through, the Season Pass (episodes 2-6) for $20 might be a better route. Factor the Season Pass’ 15% discount with the practically free entry fee and that’s one pretty good deal.
For those unaware, Telltale’s Game of Thrones is a six part game series set in the very same world as the hit HBO show’s. More of a side story, the Game of Thrones game has players following the House Forrester who is one of the few loyal to the unlucky Starks. Like the choose-your-own-adventure books of yore, choices you make in the game directly influence the story, so don’t be surprised if a few of your favorite characters end up kicking the bucket as a result. The land of Westeros is a dangerous one.
