Chromecast officially turns 2, Google celebrates by giving away a free movie rental
Yes, in case you didn’t have it marked down on your calendar, the Chromecast is now officially 2 years old. And while we still don’t get an actual Chromecast sequel with dual-band WiFi support, Google is giving us a free movie rental. Hey, it’s better than nothing.
Redeeming the offer is easy, just make sure your Chromecast is powered on and you’re connect to it via the Chromecast extension then go here. The free movie rental even applies to HD versions, so there’s that. Don’t worry about jumping on that right away. Even if you don’t have a Chromecast just yet (but plan on buying one in the future), the offer will be waiting for you until December 31st, 2015.
