Moto G (2015) makes brief appearance on Moto Maker, customization options and higher-end model revealed

So we pretty much know exactly what the Motorola Moto G 2015 will look like when it debuts next week. With so many leaks these past few weeks, it’s safe to say it’s Motorola’s worst kept secret in their 2015 device portfolio.

But what we don’t know are some of the other details. Things like the kind of customization options Motorola will give users when the phone goes up on Moto Maker. Once rumored, even that has been revealed and ironically enough, this time it was Motorola who let the cat out of the bag. The Chicago-based OEM seems to have inadvertently posted the Moto G 3rd Gen — officially named the Moto G (2015) — up on their Moto Maker site, complete with a list of the all the colors you can select to customize it to your liking. What’s more is there seems to be 2 versions of the phone: a base 8GB storage (presumably 1GB RAM) model, and a higher-end 16GB storage/2GB RAM version.

In some ways, the Moto G is like the new Moto X (specs wise). How far we’ve come. We’re sure to learn more about pricing when the Moto G 2015, Moto X 2015, and possibly a Moto 360 2015 are officially revealed next week.
