The OnePlus 2 is slowly making its way through regulatory approvals, so it’s not much of a surprise that we’re starting to see shots of the thing turn up. Its latest appearance — thanks to the meticulous folks at China’s TENAA certification program — might be our clearest and most accurate yet, though, and it actually reveals a hardware feature we didn’t previously know about.
A home button! We’d say it’s an odd departure from the OnePlus One’s full on-screen navigation setup, but we officially know the OnePlus 2 will have a fingerprint scanner and we’re sure the home button will look to enable that.
Unfortunately we’re not yet sure if that means we’ll be getting capacitive touch buttons for recent apps and back. The leak also gives us a good look at the device’s side profile, and it’s looking pretty damn thin and sleek from where we stand.
The back of the device is pretty chill as well, with your usual camera and dual-tone flash sitting above a OnePlus logo. We also see an extra slit beneath the camera which could turn out to be an infrared blaster.
The mysteries won’t last long, thankfully, as OnePlus is holding a reveal event next week, July 27th at 7PM Eastern. We’ll be delivering all the details you crave so be sure to circle right back for the goods!
