It’s only a day late (well, sort of), but the HTC One M9 on AT&T is now officially receiving Android 5.1 Lollipop as promised. It was back on Tuesday HTC’s Mo Versi said that update would hit devices starting Wednesday, July 15th and although AT&T only just posted the changelog, it does mention it was technically available yesterday. Here’s what the software page will look like after you update:
- Android Version: 5.1
- HTC Sense Version: 7.0
- Software Version: 2.6.502.16
- Baseband version: 01.01_U11440601_72.02.50602A_F
- Kernel version: 3.10.49-perf-g-15d0457 @ ABM#1 SMP PREEMPT
- Build number: 2.6.502.16 CL556209
- File Size: 914MB
Like most software updates, Android 5.1 (software version 2.6.502.16) brings new features, enhancements (like to the camera), and bug fixes — while introducing a whole new set of ones in the process — but that’s just how these things go. Let us know if you’re seeing the update on your One M9, and whether or not you’re noticing any funny business. Oh, and if you’re on T-Mobile or Verizon, expect your Android 5.1 Lollipop update to arrive next week.
