I never was a big fan of the Samsung Galaxy S5, but that doesn’t mean I don’t recognize a deal when I see it. If you hop on over to eBay, you can find a brand new AT&T model for only $350 unlocked. It’s not a bad deal, with the S5 being the last of the Galaxy S line to offer a micro SD card slot, a removable battery, and IP67 water resistance rating.
Of course, there are a lot of downsides too. The phone only comes in white, only has 16GB of internal storage (less than that is even usable), and even though it was recently updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop, it still features the bloated, laggy, un-streamlined version of TouchWiz it always has. Galaxy S6 this is not. Actually, you sure you want to do this? Especially when you can grab a OnePlus One for the same price. But we suppose options are nice.
For those who feel inclined, you’ll find the $350 Galaxy S5 via the link below.

Jeebus, Chavez, tell us how you really feel about the S5.
Another great plug for the OnePlus!
I’d be all over this if there were an official GPE ROM that I could flash onto the device. :)
An unlocked phone comes with all of the at&t bloat! awesome!
A smoking deal! Choices choices choices
Get off the TouchWiz bashing train, already. As I showed about a week ago, the SGS4 (which had a slower clocked Snapdragon 400 processor) could easily hang with the Nexus 5 (which had a Snapdragon 600 processor at a faster clock speed).
Don’t make me pull out the YouTube video on you!!!
The S5 does have many Real World improvements over the OnePlus One. As a tech blogger, you should be instantly aware of them…Better screen tech (in every conceivable metric: colors, contrast, brightness, ppi), better rear camera, water resistance, IR blaster, removable, expandable, etc….
The s4 had a higher clocked snapdragon 600 @ 1.9ghz and the nexus 5 had a revision 2 snapdragon 800 @ 2.3ghz.
Sorry, it was 600 vs 800. My point is that the Nexus 5 had a higher clock speed and an improved processor over the S4…my memory was a little off on the actual specs…
