[Update]: Sprint HTC One M8 getting Android 5.0 Lollipop today, LG G3 soon

[Update]: And it looks like Sprint went ahead and pulled the trigger a bit early. The company has started rolling the Android 5.0 Lollipop update out to the HTC One M8 much sooner than we thought. It’s the same spiel as always — rolling out in stages, and it’s best if you’re on WiFi with a battery charged to at least 50% before applying the upgrade. Head to Settings > About Phone to see if you can pull it down, and you’ll be looking for version 4.20.651.10. Let’s hope the LG G3 comes along just as soon.

Sprint’s been on a pretty good pace when it comes to delivering Android 5.0 Lollipop to their customers. The Samsung Galaxy S5 and the HTC One (M7) have already received their upgrades, so what about other popular devices such as the LG G3 and HTC One M8?

Thanks to a newly-leaked timeline, we know it probably won’t be long. Sprint is reportedly scheduled to deliver Lollipop to the HTC One M8 starting February 13th, while the LG G3 will follow that just 3 days later on the 16th.

As usual, the updates are expected to go out in waves so not everyone will receive it on that exact day (though we’re sure manual installation methods will be cooked up quite fast). So relax, enjoy your weekend and know that it won’t be long before you’re able to join everyone else lucky enough to receive Lollipop to this point.
