This year at CES we’ve seen a lot of affordable phones from companies we don’t usually talk about a lot. Alcatel is another one that has announced a line of new Android devices. We got our hands on the new Alcatel Pop 2, Pop 8S tablet, and Pop 10 tablet. All of these devices run pure Android 5.0 Lollipop, and they look really nice.
The Alcatel Pop 2 comes in three display sizes: 5-inch, 4.5-inch, and 4-inch. The 5-inch model has a 8MP camera, and a quad-core 1.2 GHz processor. The 4.5-inch and 4-inch models have 5MP cameras and the same quad-core 1.2 GHz processor. All three are compatible with 4G LTE.
The Alcatel Pop 8S and Pop 10 tablets also have a lot in common. Other than the screen size differences (which you can guess by the names), these tablets have quad-core 1.2GHz processors, 5MP cameras, 8GB of storage, and they can be used with Alcatel’s handy keyboard dock.
Alcatel did not release pricing or availability information, but you can safely assume these devices will be very affordable. Do any of Alcatel’s new devices interest you?
Oh, it’s literally a hands-on. He doesn’t actually do anything with the phone. How…pointless.
Hopefully these are usable. Every alcatel phone I have used were absolute crap
