Pretty much every phone nowadays has a LED flash to go along with the primary camera. The front-facing camera, a.k.a. selfie cam, rarely ever has a flash. This makes it very difficult to take high-quality selfies in low-light conditions. You may not have realized this was a problem, but Lenovo did, and the Selfie Flash is the answer.
The full name of this strange product is the Lenovo Vibe Xtension Selfie Flash. It’s one of the weirdest things we’ve seen at CES so far. To use the Selfie Flash you simply plug it into the 3.5mm headphone jack on any Android device. The eight diffused LEDs in the ring don’t actually “flash.” You simply turn it on or off. The Selfie Flash is rechargeable and can be used for more than just selfies if you want.
I know you’re all just dying to buy this thing. Here’s some bad news: the Selfie Flash will not be sold in the US, but it will be sold on their website later this year. How many Selfie Flashes are you going to buy?!
