ASUS is no stranger to unveiling new devices at CES and it looks like this year will be no different. Earlier today, the Taiwanese manufacturer was teasing a new smartphone on both YouTube and their Facebook page, but wouldn’t provide any details until the phone’s big reveal at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show.
Now, perhaps it’s just a coincidence, but a mysterious new ASUS device recently made its way through the Bluetooth SIG and according to the documentation, appears to be ASUS’ followup to their previous ZenFone.
Now whether or not this phone and the one being teased are the same remains to be seen, but the sub par specs leave a whole lot to be desired. Here’s the specs ASUS provided in their paperwork (something OEMs don’t typically submit to the SIG):
“These great hardware specifications, combined with ASUS’ latest ZenUI and it’s wide of ASUS exclusive services and utilities, will provide our customers with the best user experience possible.”
Ummmm… what?
