With Nexus 9’s officially available to purchase starting today, the floodgates of Google’s updated Material redesigned apps should now be hitting the Play Store. To show the rest of the world exactly what’s coming around the bend, Google has uploaded a new Google Calendar promo video onto YouTube only a few minutes ago.
It’s not totally unheard of, but it’s nice seeing Google take the time to show off one of their apps, especially when it looks as good as this. The promo shows off the new Calendar’s new interface which integrates with Gmail to add calendar events “automagically.” Again, it looks absolutely gorgeous and while it’s only available for the Nexus 9 as of now (the only currently available Lollipop device), expect a rollout to Android 4.1+ devices in the coming weeks.
was about time….
Please have a month view that shows appointment detail… pretty please….
I like this one:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hearanyway.hearanyway
It has some very cool options
The screens change fast enough that I can’t tell what I’m looking at before it changes, so I have to rely on the audio, which refers to this, that and the other thing. Essentially, it didn’t show or tell me anything useful.
Why won’t Google create a beautiful Month Widget? I have always wondered. I understand that they are making improvements on everything else but not even one descent Month view widget? are you serious? come on Google.
I was wondering the same thing a few days ago when my roommate was trying to switch from Samsung’s TouchWiz full calendar widget to starting to use NovaLauncher and the non-TouchWiz widgets. I hated to admit to him that Google is out of their mind for not having this as an option.
This should help. It has material design and allows u to open whatever calendar u want

Thanks for that suggestion. That is a thing of beauty.
A month view with no appointment details has always forced me to use another app. Just seeing blocks on days of the month is no good for me.
Sunrise calendar wins it for me.
You might lough, however I prefer this little guy: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hearanyway.hearanyway
No as beautiful, but better options.
No download link?
Am i the only one who noticed the new Google Maps icon ?
