Verizon Sony Xperia Z2 leaked again by company’s own website
It seems like someone at Sony must not want their job. Following a social media slip-up that revealed a Verizon-branded Sony Xperia Z2, the Verizon version of the device has once again been spotted in official channels. It was caught in an image on Sony Japan’s site, which is even more odd considering Verizon has no known affairs in those parts of the world.
As you can imagine, the image was quickly replaced with something a little less revealing. The photo didn’t show the Verizon logo as clearly as the original leak did, though it’s hard to miss that iconic check mark and 4G LTE even in such skewed form. Verizon does make it a point to brand every product they launch, after all, so seeing the logo on a phone is like spotting a relative coming off of a flight.
We already know everything there is to know about the Sony Xperia Z2, because it’s already been launched in many parts of the world. It features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, a 5.2-inch full HD display, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, Sony’s 20.7 megapixel Exmor camera sensor that can shoot 4K video and more.
What we don’t know is when Verizon is planning to launch this thing, though all of the recent leaks suggest it won’t be long before that ends up happening. Any Verizon owners looking forward to it alongside heavy hitters like the HTC One M8 and Samsung Galaxy S5?
