Motorola is once again handing out promo codes for $150 off the Moto X, giving buyers one last chance before Christmas to pick up the phone at a discount. We can thank the Today Show. After featuring the Moto X on the morning news and talk show, would-be buyers have been provided with a promo code that can be redeemed for steep discounts on the customizable smartphone.
While buyers can score $150 off the off-contract price of the Moto X, they can also opt to get 50 percent off the contract price of the phone with AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon. Here’s how:
- Visit Motorola’s sign-up page
- Fill in your information
- Enter promo code todayshow50
- Choose your promotion and answer a few questions
After completing the above steps you should receive a promo code good for your chosen discount. Act fast, though. As with previous offers this one is available for a limited time only.

Damn… the bamboo Moto X is excluded from both the on-contract 50% off deal and the $150 off off-contract deal.
Why don’t they just drop the price $150.00 and stop playing these “you must hurry and get your coupon code” games? I’m sorry, it’s a nice phone and all, but I had the choice of picking up a Nexus 5 or a Moto X last time and ended up letting the coupon expire in favor of a Nexus 5 in my stocking.
Making something exclusive usually increases the appeal/pulls in impulse buyers. It is a pretty common marketing strategy.
Meanwhile a lot of people would prefer the Moto X in there’s. Just a matter of personal taste
I really appreciate you posting this Kevin, I didn’t use my cyber monday code because I was thinking that all the wood backs would become available and I could get the teak one. I was left with no teak and no deal.now I will at least have a new phone at $150 off Thanks!

Didn’t use the code for the $150 off, but I did use it for 50% off for the $79.99 for the Motorola Buds Bluetooth wireless headphones. $46.12 altogether. Sweet!
Only down side it won’t work on the Developers Edition, but it did work on the unlocked gsm/T-Mobile device, and got to use Moto Maker. Plus side, even was able to use a corporate discount for a few extra bux off.
