Well, guys. It’s finally time to reveal the details behind Nvidia Shield’s Black Friday bundle deal. Teased back on Tuesday, the Android gaming handheld will be seeing a discount of $50 off Black Friday weekend, along with additional bonus goodies depending on the retailer. Here’s what you can expect:
- Nvidia.com: $50-off, free carrying case, and free shipping
- Gamestop: $50-off and $25 Google Play gift card
- Amazon: $50-off (Prime 2-day shipping available)
You should also be able to find the Nvidia Shield marked down with the same $50 discount at other retailers (TigerDirect, Fry’s, Newegg) along with the free carrying case and free shipping. Nvidia mentions that the Shield Black Friday deal will run from now until “Cyber Monday”, otherwise known as December 2nd at 11:59pm (ET). Anyone picking the Shield up?
They could cut the price down to $0 and people wouldn’t waste the money for gas to go get one
ROFL… in all honesty, this makes sense if you have a crappy phone and have no plan of upgrading.
Even a good phone, I don’t always play games because I need more than 5 hour battery life. Dedicated gaming machine just makes sense.
My G2 gets ridiculous battery life ;)
It’s actually a really awesome device.
Still not worth it
Not nearly enough of a cut for me to bother, I could care less about the case… Though it is quite akward of a device and does need a case. Anyone with a decent phone should just go grab the Moga Pro off amazon its 10 bucks off today, 39.99 and it turns any decent phone into this same damn thing.
I bet this thing will be selling for $150 – $200 in about 6 months. Personally, I’d wait.
I rather buy a Vita or 3DSXL instead of that. Or as another reader said, MOGA is the way to go.
