AT&T exclusively carries Pebble smart watch Sep. 27th for $150, launches 8 4G LTE markets

AT&T had a couple of nice announcements to make today. For starters, the country’s second largest carrier has announced that they will be the exclusive carrier to offer the Pebble smart watch, and that the little guy would be headed our way September 27th for $150.

That’s two days from now, so it won’t be long before you can walk into Ma Bell and pick one up for yourself. There really is no difference in getting this one online, at Best Buy or direct from Pebble, but it’s a nice convenient way to go get one if you were heading to an AT&T store anyway. The Pebble smart watch features a 144 x 168 e-paper display, and can connect to your Android or iOS device to deliver call information, messages, email, social networking updates, and more. Oh, and the time, of course.

AT&T has also announced the launch of 4G LTE in 8 more markets. Here’s the short list:

AT&T has already rolled out to a ton of cities, and this particular launch brings the company to close to 400. They weren’t joking when they promised the nation that most of their network would be up on 4G LTE by the end of this year. It still isn’t enough to catch Verizon just yet, but it’s a lot more than Sprint and T-Mobile can say they have. Be sure to check it out if you’re in one of the above cities and have a 4G-enabled device.
