More release dates: AT&T LG G2 coming September 13th, Sprint Moto X September 6th
Today must be “announce the release date for upcoming devices” day for all these carriers (Verizon and T-Mobile had news to share about phones of their own). Two more of America’s top carriers had release dates to share for two very hot phones. Starting with Ma Bell, aka AT&T, their version of the LG G2 will be here September 13th, and will cost folks $200 on a new two-year contract.
This comes very shortly after Verizon and T-Mobile announced release dates of their own for LG’s latest spring chicken. This device dons a 5.2-inch 1080p display, and will satisfy any spec junkie with its Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM and 13 megapixel camera.
Shifting gears, Sprint has finally let loose the release date for their version of the Moto X. That release date, in case you were wondering, would be tomorrow, September 6th. The typical price would be $200 for a two-year contract being exchanged, though if you’re coming over from a different carrier Sprint is willing to knock another $100 off the price of that.
We recently reviewed the Moto X, Motorola’s first big phone since being acquired by Google. This 4.7-inch 720p device might not come with the most loud specs in the world, but Motorola’s X8 processing system makes it feel just as snappy as the big boys. It also has a 10 megapixel RGBC “ClearPixel” camera, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage.
Of course, the device’s biggest claim to fame has been the ability to customize it through the Moto Maker with custom colors and engravings, but that option is unfortunately locked out to all but AT&T customers for the time being. If you don’t mind getting one of these things in plain black or white, though, then be sure to knock yourself out at the Sprint store tomorrow. Anyone looking to grab any of these up?
