LG has officially and coyly announced the existence of their first tablet in over two years. The company released a teaser video, and wasn’t shy about letting the world know that it was for the LG G Pad 8.3, an 8.3-inch tablet that LG claims is “just right for you.” LG definitely hasn’t shied away from the “inspired by people” mantra they’ve been riding ever since they announced their 2013 flagship LG G2.
In the teaser, LG interviews everyday passersby, asking them what the best tablet would be for them. Many folks said they wanted a screen that was big enough to enjoy movies on, but no so big that the device is awkward to hold.
They want the device light and thin enough to be able to use easily on the go. They want to close and open applications fast. And they want to use the tablet with their computers and other devices effortlessly.
Judging by the screen size, it sounds like LG definitely took all that into consideration. We’ll have to wait for full details regarding the tablet before we make any sort of prejudgment, but LG sounds confident that their first tablet in years will hit on all the right points to make people want to buy it. Watch the video above, and be sure to stay tuned to Phandroid for more details as we try to find out more about LG’s latest attempt to break into the growing tablet space.
