Layar brings entirely redesigned Android app and website
Layar has not waned in its quest to bring the world a vibrant, unique and viable augmented reality platform. In case you thought its momentum was fading a little bit, today’s update quells any fears of that. The folks at layer have completely redesigned their Android application to bring us the same great experience with a fresh coat of paint. There are also a couple of new features to enjoy.
The biggest Layar is highlighting is the ability to view a list of previously viewed AR content. Layar claims it’s something no other AR app has, though that isn’t hard to believe considering how slim the competition is out there.
Layar has also completely redesigned their website. While it doesn’t offer any account-level functionality, it’s a nice destination for learning about augmented reality and all of the things that are possible with it. Augmented reality has come a long way in just a few short years, so if you haven’t checked it out in a while be sure to give the all new Layar a shot in the Google Play Store.
