It’s no secret LG hasn’t had the best of time trying to navigate the tablet waters, and the manufacturer had no shame in letting the world know that it would take a sizable break following the lackluster LG Optimus Pad series. Now, it sounds like the company could be attempting to make a comeback in that arena.
Rumors out of Greek publication TechBlog suggest LG will look to unveil the G Pad next month. It’s said to be an 8.3 inch “retinal” tablet, and it gets that classification thanks to a reported 1920 x 1200 resolution. That would put this thing in line with the new Nexus 7 in terms of resolution, though the pixel density is obviously a bit lower thanks to its larger screen size. Still, it would probably look quite remarkable.
Other specs of this “G Pad” would include a quad-core processor of some sort, as well as 2GB of RAM. If LG’s latest shot at the phone space is anything to go by, we’d say there would be a lot to be excited for. It’s all said to go down at some point next month, so we’ll definitely be keeping our eyes as peeled as they can be to see if that ends up happening.
