Huge trade shows such as CES and CTIA have largely fallen out of favor when it comes to companies making huge announcements. They used to be product announcement showdowns where flagship devices were launched, but these epic attractions are now often reserved for company specific events.
Samsung will soon hold their first ever global “Samsung Developers Conference”, which – based on their recent dominance – could come with a lot of surprises and reveals. Google’s own developer conference has become an annual tech highlight and the likes of Apple, Microsoft, and AT&T use their developer events to make splashes.
Considering the potentially massive impact and excitement of such an event, we’re guessing space will be limited. For that reason, you should probably mark your calendar’s for August 16th (6AM PST / 9AM ET), when conference registration will begin. If it at all follows in the footsteps of Google IO 2013, you’ll want to consider crossing your fingers and praying to the Android Gods.
The Samsung Developers Conference will be held from October 27th through 29th in San Francisco and will cover in depth topics ranging such as mobile, Smart TV, and connected devices.
Do you plan on attending the Samsung Developers Conference? Do you think anything major (of consumer interest) will be announced?
