As we inch closer and closer to Google’s Wednesday event, we’re getting a better idea of what to expect. Alongside an Android 4.3 unveiling, we’re also expecting Google to show off its refreshed Nexus 7 tablet. We’ll be on-hand to get an up-close and personal look for ourselves, but some new information has leaked ahead of the event that has us excited.
For starters, a new Best Buy circular has leaked for the device. According to it, the 16GB edition of the tablet will cost just $230, and will be outfitted with a 1920 x 1200 display (with that last spec also being true for a possible 32GB variant).
The Best Buy circular also mentions that the device will be available “this Tuesday.” Considering the event is not until this Wednesday and the current week’s Best Buy circular is already out, then we’re sure “this Tuesday” means “July 30th,” at the absolute earliest. We’re not exactly sure when this circular is dated for, though, so we won’t put 100% of our eggs into that date’s basket.
We only have a couple more days to find out everything we can about this nice looking 7-inch wonder, so circle back Wednesday to see what to expect from the next generation of the Nexus 7.
PS: our friends at @evleaks have also procured an official press shot for the device. Aside from a double helping of bezel, it. doesn’t look any different than we imagined it would. Still, it’s nice to see it in all its glory.
