CyanogenMod might be the biggest ROM there is, but there area a bunch of other great developers out there putting together some great things on Android. One such creation is dubbed MIUI, something I’m sure anyone with Android ROM flashing experience knows a thing or two about. This ROM completely transforms Android, almost to the point where you could mistake it for an entirely different OS.
Well, that ROM is coming over to the HTC One in the form of AdyScorpiusMIUIv5 from user AdyScorpius over at XDA. Things seem fairly stable for the most part, though as is the case with any ROM not everything is going to be 100% perfect. That said, it’s probably worth a shot if Sense 5 has lost its luster and stock Android doesn’t do it for you. If you want to give it a go, just follow these simple instructions after downloading the ROM file you need.:
1. Push zip file to sdcard or Download on phone.
2. Reboot to recovery.
3. Wipe data (Factory Reset)
4. Flash ROM.
5. Reboot.
Also, note that these instructions are only guaranteed to work with the international version of the device. Those with carrier-specific variants will want to ask about flashing this in the XDA thread or see if there’s a version being made specifically for your model. Remember, no one has any responsibility in keeping your device upright but you. As long as you remember that, flash away!
