A pair of Motorola devices just passed through the FCC, and from the looks of it, they could be headed straight to Verizon Wireless. The Motorola XT1080 and XT1030 are 2 devices packing the equipment necessary for operating on Verizon’s 4G LTE network, and also come with NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, as well as 802.11ac WiFi (5G WiFi).
While we can’t be too sure, there’s a good chance this could be the recently leaked Motorola Ultra coming in either slim or larger Maxx variants. Don’t forget we’ve already seen the Moto X headed toward US Cellular as the Motorola XT1055, and it was tipped that a lower-spec’d Motorola Ultra M was also in the works (last year’s Droid Razr M was the XT907). There’s a chance that this XT1030 could be either one of those devices, but still too early to say.
For now, we’ll just have to wait for Motorola to finally show their cards and announce what they’ve been up to these past few months. Seems they’ve got their hands full at the moment.
