Some good news coming to HTC One S users on T-Mobile. Remember that Jelly Bean update that pushed out over-the-air more than a few months ago? Well, it looks like yet another update is scheduled to hit devices and looks to fix some excess battery drainage some users might be experiencing after updating Jelly Bean.
Okay, to be fair, it might not have entirely been Jelly Bean’s fault. Apparently T-Mobile’s WiFi Calling app got wonky after updating to Jelly Bean, causing the app to stay on and drain precious mAhs from the One S. This latest update (Software 3.14.531.17 70RD) should fix that. To update, simply jump into your settings to pull it manually, or wait for your device to prompt you in the coming days.
See, it’s little things like this that can only be found through extensive testing and is one of the reason Android updates can take so long to reach devices. While new features are great for techies like you and I, sometimes stability is more beneficial for the majority of users. Nice to see T-Mobile issuing a speedy update.
