One of the biggest problems I’ve run into when it comes to file transfers is the cumbersome nature of it all. Whether it be having to tether my device to my PCs, eject and insert memory sticks, or deal with slow network-based transfers, it’s always been a bit of a pain. That’s why the newly-announced Leef Bridge has our interest.
Leef Bridge is a two-pronged USB flash drive with a micro-USB connection on one end (for Android phones and tablets) and a full-sized USB connection on the other (for use with your Mac or PC). The two connections access the same internal memory, and you can switch between them using a slider on the side.
The Leef Bridge can be used with any Android device that has Android 4.1 or higher, and is also compatible with on-the-go USB connectors in case you need that compatibility. Leef Bridge also works with ASTRO file browser out of the box, with Metago adding seamless functionality for the product. Bridge doesn’t require ASTRO, but the folks at Leef say it makes the experience that much more sweet.
You can find the device available for sale today in 16GB and 32GB flavors for $17.99 and $28.99, respectively. Leef has also confirmed that a 64GB model will be on its way this July, though pricing for that variant has yet to be announced. Take a look at the Leef Bridge on Leef’s website for more information, and be on the lookout for a review from us in the near future.
