If you came across this little tweet from Three UK’s Twitter support team, don’t be alarmed — Android 4.2.2 is still scheduled to arrive on the HTC One. You know the drill. The rumor began churning after a rep from Three’s support told a customer that Android 4.2 for the One was “pulled” and wouldn’t be arriving for the HTC One on their network anytime soon.
Upon hearing this, the boys at Engadget were able to get a more official word direct from HTC who quickly threw water on the fire, assuring that Android 4.2 is, in fact, still coming soon to the One… it just needs a little more time in the oven. It’s entirely possible that if the release had some hiccups on Three’s network and needed to be sent back to HTC for revisions, that might explain the delay we’re seeing with the update here in the states. But then again, you know… carriers.
As for me, I’ll be dreaming of the day I’ll finally get to have quick toggles on my HTC One. Pick your feet up, HTC/US carriers/whoever!
