Qualcomm announces new Snapdragon 400 quad-core CPU’s with integrated 3G/4G LTE and new Reference Design tablet

Computex 2013 is kicking off in Taipei and where we were already bombarded with a handful of new ASUS devices, it’s now Qualcomm’s turn to step into the spotlight and show us what they’ve been working on.

The San Diego-based chip manufacture is announcing the latest addition to their Snadragon 400 lineup with the mid-tier MSM8926. Clocked at 1.2GHz, this quad-core CPU comes with a 3G/4G LTE modem built right in. The mid-tier SoC is multi-SIM ready and features compatibility for both 42Mbps HSPA+ and Chinese TD-SCDMA networks.

As for shorter range wireless capabilities, the Snadragon 400 MSM8926 also features VIVE (802.11ac WiFi), NFC, QuickCharge and Miracast support. You can expect it to launch late this year along with their new, and much more sleek, Reference Design tablet.
