We’ve been hearing of rumors of Sony’s plan to unleash a 5-inch wallop of an Android device before the end of the year — and sorry to burst your bubbles but the Sony Xperia UL isn’t it. The spy shots were sent over to Chinese website CNMO and show a 5-inch Android that looks similar to the Sony Xperia ZL (similar plastic back cover), and like the ZL, the specs are good, just not legendary status. The UL is said to come equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor, along with 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and fairly sizable 2,300mAh battery.
As you can see, the Xperia UL is looking much like a lower-spec’d Sony Honami, a device rumored to pack everything from a Snapdragon 800 CPU, 20MP camera, 2,7000mAh battery and similar 5-inch full HD display. Where Sony Xperia UL will most likely find itself headed to Japanese carrier KDDI in the near future, that’s not to say some variant of the device wont make its way stateside. Then again, we are still waiting for the Sony Xperia Z to launch here as well.
