Google CEO Larry Page meets with LG CEO, Nexus 5 and LG Glass possibly in the works [RUMOR]

The oft hit-or-miss KoreaTimes published an article yesterday adding more fuel to the rumors that LG could have yet another stab at manufacturing another Nexus device and something else we didn’t see coming. Google’s Larry Page met with LG CEO Koo Bon-joon in his hometown of Seoul, South Korea last week. There they discussed ways to better improve their business partnership.

LG is looking to expanding this partnerships by releasing even more Google TV television (coming soon to their next-gen OLED tv’s), another LG Nexus device, and even the possibility of LG manufactured Google Glass.

LG has been fighting tooth and nail against Samsung and where Google and LG’s meetup was more or less a backdoor meeting, Larry also had a more public meeting with Samsung’s vice chairman Jay-yong, and mobile division chief Jong-kyun. Larry was seen pictured with Jay-yong’s hand on his shoulder.

LG is currently rounding out 3rd place in the worldwide smartphone market, just behind Apple and Samsung. Looks like LG is fighting to hold that spot, doing whatever they can to further increase brand recognition and pump out even more smartphones in 2013. Does this mean a Nexus 5 LG Optimus G Pro variant is in the works? No one can say for sure. It would go perfectly with Google’s naming scheme, but at this point it’s all hearsay.
