The next logical successor to the original Samsung Galaxy Tab is here. Samsung has announced the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3, a 7-inch tablet, that tailors to folks looking for an entry-level device. The aforementioned 7-inch display sports 1024×600 resolution, and if that wasn’t enough to drive the “entry-level” feeling home we’re also getting a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a 3 megapixel rear camera and a 1.3 megapixel front camera.
Other Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 specs include 8 or 16GB of internal storage with the option to expand that to 64GB using a microSD card, WiFi N, Bluetooth 3.0, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, a 4,000 mAh battery, aGPS and there will be a model with HSPA+ connectivity.
Samsung expects to roll the WiFi version out starting this May, with the 3G edition getting its time to shine in June. Samsung notes different regions will see rollouts starting at different times so we can’t be too sure about exact release dates until the details are announced.
