It looks like LG is throwing a little shindig in New York City soon. The mobile OEM has started sending invites to press for an event that will take place May 1st. The invitation asks us to “Share the Genius,” though we can’t be too sure of what LG means by that. The invite doesn’t reveal much, natch, but the popular feeling is that this event could serve as the launchpad for the LG Optimus G Pro, the company’s 5.5 inch flagship, here in the United States.
That particular device sports full HD resolution, a quad-core Snapdragon 600 chipset clocked at 1.7GHz, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 13 megapixel full HD camera with a 2.1 front-facing camera, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and more. Any word on its arrival has been speculation thus far, though, so it wouldn’t be wise to put much stock into the belief that it may finally make its way to the United States in one form or another. Either way, we’ll be at full attention come May 1st to take in whatever LG has to show off.
