Tumblr update brings Holo UI
Tumblr for Android just got a big upgrade in the Google Play Store. The biggest change users of the quick blogging network will enjoy is the completely redesigned user interface. This change is mostly for users on Android 4.0 or higher as it’s gotten a nice coat of Holo-fied paint. The look and feel changes come full circle with new animations for posts. Oh, and “images pop!” That last one is just a cheeky way of saying images are bigger, but you probably already figured that much.
Tumblr hasn’t quite taken the world by storm like Twitter or Facebook has, though it’s still one very popular social network. The micro-blogging service is still a fun place to be if you get to know it, but don’t expect to be able to find all your friends on it the moment you sign up. That’s all the more reason to pull their arm, though. In any case, get over to the Google Play Store and grab the new app to see what’s changed for yourself.
