If you missed out on OUYA’s Kickstarter campaign or did not get a chance to purchase one direct through the company’s website, CEO Julie Uhrman has announced one more way you can get your hands on the Android-powered gaming console. Beginning in June, OUYA will be available from Best Buy, Target, and Gamestop.
Pricing for the console plus one controller remains at $99, though purchasing a second gamepad will be slightly pricier through this physical retail outlets. Normally priced at $30, the OUYA gamepad will sell for $49.99.
If going to a store is too much work, the console will also be available for purchase from the OUYA site and Amazon for delivery in June. Early backers will receive the first shipment of OUYA consoles in March, with more shipping in April. After that it sounds like June will be the earliest folks that missed the pre-order period will be able to get their hands on the trendy Android box with a rapidly growing community of fans.
