CDMA Galaxy Note 2 devices get CyanogenMod 10.1 nightlies
If you were ever worried that the CDMA versions of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, meaning Sprint and Verizon’s versions, might not get CyanogenMod 10.1, then worry no longer. The devices have officially been given the nightlies treatment over at the CyanogenMod download site. This means you can flash an early “preview,” of sorts. I use the word “preview” because nightlies are unstable. The builds are to be considered unfinished until they reach stable or even release candidate status.
That said, it’s very possible that these nightlies won’t introduce many experience breaking bugs. They could be daily drivers for some people, but if you happen to run into a bug that you don’t like then all you can do is report it (though don’t forget to check the changelog at the project’s GitHub commits page as the team generally doesn’t like being told about bugs it’s already working on).
Users should note that this ROM is based on AOSP, which means some crucial TouchWiz-specific features like S Pen and multi-window aren’t supported. Many folks might be put off because of this, but don’t say I didn’t warn you. The CyanogenMod mirror has everything you need to get started for this AOSP-based experience.
