Huawei Ascend P1 now available direct from Amazon for $450
The Huawei Ascend P1, which we reviewed back in June and has been available on the international market for some time now, is finally available direct to US consumers. The mid-range Ice Cream Sandwich handset features a .5GHz dual-core processor and can be purchased unlocked from Amazon for $450. If you’ve had an itch for the handset, despite US government recommendations against dealing with the Chinese company, you no longer have to jump through hoops to import one.
The Ascend P1 is a serviceable smartphone that also features a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display and slim profile measuring 7.69mm. The Ascend P1 doesn’t hold much of a candle to most top-teir phones from major manufacturers, but it’s a different option to consider. Worth$450? That’s for you to decide.
