Facebook is rolling out a new feature to some of their Android users today which gives the app the ability to auto upload photos to the social network ala Google+. Photo’s wont immediately hit your timeline, instead, they’ll be marked private until you manually go in and make them public on your profile. Again, this feature isn’t enabled for everyone just yet (checked for myself and it’s a no-go), but if you’d like to enable syncing from your Android device, you can follow these simple steps.
To start syncing your photos, make sure you have the latest version of Facebook for Android installed on your phone. From the app:
Go to your timeline Tap Photos Tap Sync at the bottom of your photos section. Follow the step-by-step instructions. From your computer:
Go to your timeline Click Photos Click Synced From Phone at the top of your photos section. Follow the step-by-step instructions. You can choose how many photos you’d like to sync, and privately store up to 2GB of photos.
Now, if Facebook could maybe put new features on the back burner, while they iron out some of the bugs currently plaguing the app, I might actually start using it again.
